Spooktacular Fun Awaits at Hersheypark Halloween
Pennsylvania's largest amusement park — Hersheypark —is a summertime mecca. Millions of visitors flock to this chocolate-themed destination each year for exhilarating roller coasters, family attractions and an 11-acre water park. While summer at Hersheypark is full of thrills, autumn brings spine-tingling chills with Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights. The Londonderry Inn & Estate is located just 5 miles from all the excitement, making our historic inn the perfect place to stay when you're in town for some frightening fun.
What better place to celebrate this spooky season than at Hersheypark Halloween? Most of the coasters, rides and attractions you love in the summer will be open for Hersheypark Halloween — 50 rides and attractions in all. Hersheypark Halloween is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from mid-September through October. During the last hour of each night, the lights go out for dark rides on the new Wildcat’s Revenge hybrid coaster, Candymonium, Comet and Lightning Racer. It's the only time of year you can experience these exhilarating coasters in the dark! The combination of adrenaline-pumping rides and the spooky ambiance of the park at night is an unforgettable experience.
At 6 p.m. is when Dark Nights begins. Dark Nights covers four acres in various sections of the park. From five haunted houses that will make your heart race to three eerie scare zones filled with unexpected surprises, there's something to keep every thrill-seeker entertained. The park goes all out with its decorations, creating an immersive and spooky atmosphere that will transport you to a world of ghouls and ghosts. This year there are blood-curdling frights lurking at Dark Night's newest addition, Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir, where a family of meat processors are up to something sinister.
The fun does not stop at the thrilling rides and chilling haunts. Take a walk along Hershey's Trick or Treat Trail and fill up your treat bag with your favorite chocolate goodies. The trail winds from Chocolate World across the park to Treatville, with 13 candy stops and Halloween-themed photo ops. Throughout the park, you can meet and greet Hershey characters dressed in their spooky costumes — Kit Kat as a werewolf, Hershey Bar as Frankenstein and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup as Dracula. Plus, you can join the characters for a Glow Dance Party. Venture over to the adjacent ZooAmerica, where you can take a Creatures of the Night flashlight tour for an exploration into the nighttime habits of the nocturnal North American animals.
For one ticket price, you get access to all the rides and entertainment, including Dark Nights and Creatures of the Night. Hersheypark Halloween is the ultimate destination for celebrating the spooky season. Book your stay at the Londonderry Inn & Estate, pack your costume and get ready for a Halloween adventure like no other at Hersheypark Halloween!
